A&B Electric was founded in 1968. And for more than three decades, Ron Atkins served as the company’s founder and sole owner. In 2001, Bryan—Ron’s son and an experienced journeyman with more than 10 years’ experience at A&B—joined the business as a manager and partner. In the years to come, the company expanded, serving the growing needs of contractors and businesses powering Southwest Idaho’s economic expansion.

The nearly 30-year collaboration between father and son ended in 2019, when Ron retired and sold his share of the business. A&B Electric officially became Atkins Electric: a fully insured and bonded partner of Boise-area general contractors. Atkins’ more notable projects include Eagle’s award-winning Chateau des Fleurs, the Dennis Dillon family of automotive dealerships, and a variety of board and care facilities. Today, expert electrician and designer Bryan Atkins leads a team of trained and experienced installers tackling complex projects throughout the valley.
